  1. Joe was one of the funniest Toastmasters speakers I ever heard. His secret was great timing and self-effacing humor – making fun of his roots and his life in West Virginia. I lost several club-level Humorous Speech contests to Joe when we were both members of the Bennie Bough club. I never did finish ahead of him! He was also one of the nicest people you could ever meet. A great Toastmaster!
